Brainstorming
MindGenius Online brings efficiency to the brainstorming process and has defined 4 steps of the brainstorming process. This process will help you to make the most out of your brainstorming sessions.
Plan the Session
Before you begin a brainstorming session you should plan thoroughly, identify the scope of the session, the objectives, who is involved and the format and method that will be used. This will help you get the most out of the brainstorming session.
eg. if your session required a structured approach you can use an existing format such as a SWOT or PESTLE analysis.
Alternatively, you can create a new blank mind map to capture ideas as they happen, taking an unstructured approach.
Conduct the Session
During the brainstorming session, you capture the ideas by typing directly into the MindGeniusOnline mind map.
Traditionally, you might have used post-its to capture ideas and stick them to a wall or used a whiteboard or flipchart.
MindGeniusonline is a quicker and more efficient way of capturing information and visualising the results.
Analyse the Results
Making sense of the results of the session and identifying trends and common themes. How do you get a clear view of what needs to be done next (priorities, tasks, potential projects emerging)?
To make this process easier, with MindGeniusOnline you can drag and drop your ideas to quickly rearrange them into groups.
Create your Action Plan
Now that you have the basis of your project forming, you can assign visual tags to your branches.
Tags can help make sense of the information you’ve gathered during the brainstorming session.
